TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Police scored during the implementation of the Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation in Kalinga from March 10 to 16.

Police Col. Freddie Lazona, Kalinga police director, said P11,302,160 worth of illegal drugs was seized, eight wanted persons were arrested, and 10 loose firearms were surrendered during the week.
In addition, he said the anti-illegal gambling campaign caught P7,910 in bet money and 288.7 board feet of undocumented lumber valued at P19,849 was seized in the campaign against illegal logging.
Two New People’s Army rebels surrendered, turned over their firearms, and pledged allegiance to the government.
Lazona commended lawmen for their efforts for peace and order in Kalinga. “We will continue our campaign against wanted persons, criminalities, and all forms of illegal activities to ensure the maintenance of peace and order in the province.”
