ILOILO CITY – More than P7.1-million worth of shabu was seized by the anti-drug unit of the Police Regional Office-6 in a buy-bust operation here on Monday, March 18.

The PRO-6 Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-6 (RPDEU-6) under Police Capt. Glenn Soliman confiscated more than a kilo a of shabu from five drug suspects in Barangay Tanza Baybay.
The suspects were arrested after they sold a sachet of shabu to a police poseur-buyer.
Three of the five suspects were classified as high-value drug personalities – Wilmon, Kurt, and Edilberto.
Their companions were identified as Romulo and Marl.
Another suspect was able to evade authorities.
The hierarchy of PRO-6 lauded the operation.
“I commend the RPDEU-6 personnel and the supporting units for a job well done. Let us continue working together to eliminate drugs for a safer and drug-free Western Visayas,” said Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky, PRO-6 director.
The operation was backed by two units of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) – the City Drug Enforcement Unit and the Police Station 1.
