P714,000 shabu seized in Leyte drug sting

TACLOBAN CITY – Suspected shabu worth P714,000 was seized from a drug pusher in a buy-bust operation on Sunday, March 17, in Sitio Himoclo, Barangay Poblacion, Albuera, Leyte.

Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit 8 officer-in-charge Police Lt. Col. Arturo Fullero identified the suspect as Noli Rom, 43, a high-value individual drug personality on the regional level.

Rom yielded packs of shabu weighing a total of 105 grams valued at P714,000. 

The suspect denied owning the illegal drug. He said had already stopped but returned after his former friends supplied him with unsold items on consignment. 

Rom faces drug-related charges and is temporarily detained at the Albuera Municipal Police Station.
