Legacy leadership: UP's new governance program rooted in the vision of former president FVR
The University of the Philippines-National College of Public Administration Governance (UP-NCPAG) together with the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) and The FVR Legacy Initiative on Monday, March 18, instigated the UP NCPAG - FIDEL V. RAMOS LEAD4R Fellowship Program on Advanced Governance and Leadership for Public Sector Reform.

UP said the program, whose goal is to maintain the former president FVR’s legacy in terms of progressive governance and leadership, is a course to forward professional education that will be available to present and future leaders in the government, civil society, and the private sector.
It added the program aims to advance the power of collaboration, honesty, accountability, and inclusivity toward public sector reform and sustainable and resilient progress.
“The Fellowship Program aims to cultivate and inculcate the enduring legacy of President Fidel V. Ramos who solidly affixed democratic principles to economic development, and in succeeding, gave his nation, the region, and the world a leadership model worthy of emulation,” UP said.
“The economic growth that he thought to be the true foundation for democratic reform defined his presidency, both in his home country and internationally,” it added.
UP said the program is a 10-month non-degree executive program, which equates to six units of a master's program introducing students to good conduct and innovations inside and outside the country.
