TACLOBAN CITY – Two suspected drug pushers were killed in a buy-bust operation on the bypass road in Barangay Salvacion here on Sunday, March 17.

Police said one of the suspects, Nolette Roy Pagasartonga, was a former police officer and a former Person Deprived of Liberty (PDL).
He was arrested in anti-illegal drug operations twice and was listed as the second high-value individual (HVI) in the Regional Priority Target List of the Police Regional Office 8.
The other suspect was identified as Shanel Carnacite, also listed as an HVI and a former PDL.
Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-8 chief Major J-rale Paalisbo said the suspects fired at arresting officers after a poseur-buyer bought suspected shabu worth P20,000.
Lawmen returned fire and wounded the suspects.
The suspects were taken to the Eastern Visayas Medical Center here where they were pronounced dead.
Police recovered 30 grams or P204,000 worth of suspected shabu from the suspects.
