Parañaque LGU launches sports fest for parolees

The Parañaque City government launched a sports festival for parolees last Friday, March 15, at the Parañaque City Sports Complex.

Dubbed as the Clients’ Sports Fest, the event is being managed by the National Capital Region (NCR) Southern Sector of Parole and Probation Offices and the Probation Office of Parañaque under Alberto Ong.

According to Parañaque Mayor Eric Olivarez, the sports fest is being participated in by parolees from the cities of Pasay, Makati, Las Piñas, Muntinlupa and Parañaque.

He said the participant parolees will show their skills in soccer, basketball and volleyball.

The sports fest also offers board games like chess, scrabble and others.

Olivarez said the sport fest is a good opportunity for the parolees to develop their skills and strengthen their relationship with others.

He said the fest will also help the parolees reintegrate themselves in the society.
