He also released his debut solo album “Entity” on Feb. 15, which sold a total of 219,274 copies for the whole month and placed sixth overall on Hanteo Chart’s monthly physical album chart for February.

Cha Eun-woo has visited the Philippines a couple of times and he said he always make happy memories whenever he is in the country.

“I think that whenever I visit the Philippines, I always create happy memories. I’m always thankful to the huge love and support that my Filipino fans send me, so this time as well, it’s just natural that I’m back here,” he told Manila Bulletin

The Manila fan-con, presented by Pulp Live World, showcased Cha Eun-woo’s charm from dancing to interacting with fans.

“With the release of my first solo album 'Entity,’ I wanted to show more performances, so I decided to prepare a fan concert. I've also prepared stages for the songs included in ‘Entity’' that you can only see at this fan concert, so I hope that everyone can create happy memories,” he added.

The last time he was in the Philippines, he went to the beach, which became therapeutic for him as it allowed him to have personal time outside his busy schedule.

“I went to the beach in Cebu. It was so pretty that just looking at it was already very therapeutic. Remembering the nice memories I had in Cebu makes me want to go back,” he said.

The attendance at his Manila fan-con is a testament to Cha Eun-woo’s popularity. To give back fans’ love, he said he tries to work hard to show a new side of him.

“To repay the fans who always send me great love and support, I think I always strive hard to show a new side of me through various music and projects,” he said.

In “Wonderful World,” Cha Eun-woo is portraying a role that is different from previous characters he played.  He said he chose to star in the drama because of what his character went through.

“I think I was drawn to the pain and suffering Kwon Seonyul in ‘Wonderful World.’ Moreover, I also wanted to portray the process of pained individuals healing, overcoming challenges, and transforming together, so I joined,” he said.

He does not have criteria when choosing a role in the drama but said he prefers roles that he has not portrayed before.

He said, “Rather than having a criteria, I’m type to choose projects that have fun scripts, and characters and projects that I haven’t played before but I think I can express well.”

Among the roles that he has played in dramas, the one that is very close to his heart is always the current one.

“It feels like the character I'm portraying during filming resonates with me the most in the moment. That’s why, I think it's Kwon Seonyul from ‘Wonderful World," which I recently filmed,” he said.

Cha Eun-woo added, “I hoped for Seonyul’s pain and wounds to be healed, and I put a lot of thought into the emotions the character carries. Even while acting, I find myself deeply contemplating the emotions that the character carries, which lingers in my heart for a long time.”

On his goals in 2024, he said, “My new drama ‘Wonderful World’ is currently airing. I think that through my character Kwon Seonyul, I can show a very different charm and image compared to the roles I’ve played. Moreover, I’m also touring to different countries, which also includes the Philippines, for my fan concert, so I hope that you send me lots of love.”
