Teenage boy shot dead in Cebu City

CEBU CITY – A 15-year-old boy was shot dead before dawn on Saturday, March 16, in Barangay San Jose here.

The Talamban Police Station said the boy and his companions were walking on a road with their faces covered with their shirts at past 1 a.m. when someone fired at them.

The group scampered but the victim’s companions heard him grimacing in pain when they ran for safety.

His companions who were also wounded noticed that he was not unable to run with them. 

The boy was found lifeless on the road with multiple bullet wounds at around 5 a.m. 

Police are investigating reports that they were involved in a series of theft incidents in the area.

Five empty shells for a .45 caliber pistol were recovered at the crime scene.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
