Sexagenarian with slit neck found in Pangasinan

SAN FABIAN, Pangasinan – A 67-year-old tailor with a slashed neck was found dead in his house in Barangay Cayanga here on Friday, March 15.

Police identified as as Nole Fernandez Caranga.

Initial investigation disclosed that Caranga was discovered by his wife wife Mercedes, 69, inside their comfort room bloodied with a slit neck.

Police said that a knife was lodged in the victim’s neck when he was found.

The victim was taken to the Region 1 Medical Center in Dagupan City about 15 kilometers away where he was declared dead.

Mercedes said her husband had been suffering from depression, He was also observed to be anxious for almost four days due to a personal problem.
