Senator Nancy Binay has joined the chorus of people who have expressed their dislike for the viral resort that was somehow constructed in Bohol's famous Chocolate Hills right under the authorities' noses.
"Ang sa akin napaka-eyesore niya kasi. Ang sakit sa bangs ng itsura kaya sa akin tingin ko dapat syang tanggalin," Binay, the Committee on Tourism chairperson, said in an interview Friday, March 15.
(For me, it's such an eyesore. The look of it is such a pain, that's why I think it should be removed.)
The lady senator was referring to Captain's Peak Resort, which has all but completely destroyed the picturesque nature of the Chocolate Hills.
"Pero siguro maganda pag nagocular inspection kami, tignan din natin pero at the moment para sa akin dapat syang buwagin," she said.
(But it would be good if we can conduct the occular inspection, we shall see, but at the moment, for me, we should get rid of it.)
Asked someone should be punished for the supposed transgression to Mother Nature that is the resort, Binay said that's what the upcoming Senate hearing would determine.
She said Senator Cynthia Villar's Committee on Environment will carry out an inquiry on the construction of the result.
