Renz Fajardo: The Busking Prince of Naga City

Renz Fajardo

By heart, Renz Fajardo is a musician, but he also desires to be a professional engineer someday. He prefers to be called Renz because it is easier to remember and for name recall. Renz comes from a family of musicians.  

Born Renn Ray S. Fajardo to a drummer father and a mother who also has a passion for singing, this 23-year-old lad dreams of being an engineer someday, which serves as his inspiration to perform in the streets and earn to support his education.

 As a promising artist, Renz writes his songs and plays the guitar serenading passersby along the busy streets in Naga City. His regular evening performances earned him the moniker "The Busking Prince of Naga City."  

Before the pandemic, Renz devoted his time to various activities to earn and help his family in the daily expenses. He was focused on making ways to support his mother and siblings as he continuously improved his craft.

He put up an online food business which he called "WannaRice" which started well. But when the pandemic came, and restrictions had been strictly implemented, Renz chose to stop temporarily. After that he also tried the apparel business which he named "Wohkul". 

Then later, worked as a food server in a well-known restaurant and hotel in the heart of the city. Life has never been easy, but for Renz, it is his will to keep going and keep believing that someday everything will be worth it.  

Now, he's back to his first love, music. He went to Manila to try his luck and pursue his dreams of being in the limelight of the entertainment industry.

Inspired by his passion for performing and sharing his talent, he is eyeing ‘busking’ in the busiest areas in Metro Manila, like the Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig and the super malls in Quezon City, Manila, and the neighboring cities. 

He also opens doors to possible collaborations and performances during corporate events and various entertainment activities to share his music and earn money to support his studies. 

Renz works hard to improve his craft so that he can offer the best from the "Busking Prince of Naga City."
