PRO-Cordillera destroys P21-M marijuana in 2 days

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – The Police Regional Office-Cordillera discovered and destroyed marijuana plants worth P21 million in Benguet, Kalinga, and Mountain Province from March 13 to 14.

The Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) uprooted and burned 9,165 fully grown marijuana plants (FJMP) and 116,000 dried marijuana stalks in 15 clandestine plantations in Barangays Tacadang and Badeo in Kibungan and Barangay Kayapa in Bakun.

The Kalinga PPO discovered 17,940 FJMPs in Barangay Buscalan and Loccong in Tinglayan and the Mountain Province PPO seized and burned 8,500 FJMPs in Barangay Saclit, Sadanga.

Police are hunting their cultivators.

The successful operations, the PRO-Cordillera said, underscore their unwavering commitment to root out illegal drug activities and safeguard communities from the harmful effects of illegal drugs.
