P5-M marijuana destroyed in Kalinga

TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Police destroyed 25,250 fully-grown marijuana plants worth P5 million in four barangays in Tinglayan and Rizal, Kalinga on Thursday, March 14.

Police said these were planted in a land area totaling 2,550-square meters in Barangays Loccong and Buscalan in Tinglayan and Barangays Anonang and Liwan West in Rizal.

Kalinga police director Police Col. Freddie Lazona commended operatives for their successful campaign against illegal drugs.

He said that hot-pursuit operation against their cultivators is ongoing.
