Body of senior citizen found floating in Pasig River

The body of a 61-year-old woman was found floating in Pasig River on Friday morning, March 15.

The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the victim as Daisy Sebastian, a resident of San Andres Bukid, Manila.

According to authorities, the victim was found floating around 9:30 a.m. in Pasig River at Manalo Street, Punta, Sta Ana, Manila

Police said witness Cesar Pascual was busy working as a bankero along Pasig River when he spotted the body of the victim floating.

He immediately reported his find to the barangay hall and informed the Coast Guard. 

MPD Punta Precinct personnel responded and cordoned off the area. 

The case is still under investigation, police said.
