Bulacan police arrested 22 law violators in a series of anti-criminality operations on Thursday, March 14 and Friday, March 15.
Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, said separate buy-bust operations conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Units of Meycauayan City, Santa Maria, and Marilao led to the arrest of 10 drug peddlers.
Confiscated from the suspects were eight plastic sachets of shabu with an estimated weight of 1.6 grams valued at P10,880; five plastic sachets of dried marijuana leaves with an estimated weight of 6.8 grams worth P1,176; and the buy-bust money.
The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for examination.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) will be filed in court against the suspects.
Meanwhile, a series of manhunt operations conducted by the tracker teams of different Bulacan police units resulted in the apprehension of nine wanted persons.
In San Jose del Monte City, police caught three gamblers in the act of playing an illegal coin game (Cara y Cruz) at National Housing Authority (NHA) Compound, Barangay Graceville at about 2:35 a.m. on March 15.
Police confiscated from the suspects three pieces of one-peso coin used as a “pangara” and bet money in different denominations.
All suspects are now under the custody of the arresting units and stations.
