Health and beauty retailer Watsons Philippines has launched “Sustainable Choices," a program empowering consumers to partake in helping the environment through conscious consumption.
The selection features reduced plastic components, refill packs, and ethically sourced ingredients, available in Clean Beauty and Better Packaging, which helps minimize the company’s environmental impact.

“We look forward to inspiring our customers to feel their best while looking good and doing good for themselves and those around them,” said Sharon Decapia, Watsons’ senior AVP for marketing, PR, and sustainability.
Watsons aims to open its inaugural green store in Laguna, dedicated to practicing sustainability. Aside from offering eco-friendly products, the store seeks to operate primarily on solar energy to minimize emissions. The establishment also intends to replace plastic with paper materials and implement a "strict standard" on sustainability.

"Another one that we're scaling up is our solar panels. So we have 34 doors now with solar, powered by solar. And we want to roll that out to 100 more this year, extending solar power as well in our warehouses," said Decapia.
The health and beauty retailer launched its first sustainability initiative in 2023, “Reuse with Watsons: A Sustainability Art Exhibit,” which showcased artworks crafted from upcycled materials, including plastic bottles, wrappers, tissues, and makeup sponges.
