'It's our time to shine!':Mayor Honey honors city women employees, housewives
Manila City Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan honored all women employees of the city's government during the celebration of the National Women's Month at the Palma Hall of the Universidad de Manila on Friday, March 15.

Lacuna-Pangan expressed that times have really changed, as she said that today is the women's time to shine proving themselves that they can keep up with men when it comes to multi-tasking or performing different tasks at the same time.
During the event, the mayor also lauded the departments, offices, and bureaus of the city government for having their own set of activities to celebrate Women's Month.
She said that before, only the Manila Department of Social Welfare (MDSW) came up with a line-up of activities for the occasion.
The mayor also expressed pride since most of the heads or assistant heads of important departments in Manila City Hall are women.
Lacuna likewisw honored housewives, telling them that they should not degrade their role because maintaining a home is not an easy job.
She encouraged them to learn more if they want some livelihood skills, which they can learn for free through the programs being offered by the city.
