1 dead, 4 hurt as truck rams 3 houses in Quezon

UNISAN, Quezon – A driver died and four individuals were injured after a delivery van plowed into three houses in Ibabang Kalilayan here on Friday morning, March 15.

The fatality was identified as Mamerto, 45, of Tanza, Cavite.

The fatality lost control of the Isuzu Forward aluminum van as he was driving on a curved portion of the road the van and crashed into the houses.

Mamerto was taken to the hospital where he died due to serious injuries.

The injured – Rolly Valler, 33; Ruzzel Galliano, 60, Susan Engco, 62, house owner, and Michael Cabrejas, 45, an occupant of the van – were taken to Provincial Hospital Network-Unisan. 

 The two other house owners, Elinet Lontoc, 60, and Julieta Cantuba, 77, were unharmed.
