Sedan pins carwash boy to death in Tacloban City

TACLOBAN CITY – A 33-year-old carwash boy died in a freak accident in a carwash in this city on Wednesday, March 13.

The victim, Berto, was guiding the 38-year-old female driver of a sedan to move up the ramp.

While the vehicle was moving up, instead of stepping on the brakes, the driver accidentally stepped on the accelerator.

Due to the impact, the victim was pinned into a concrete wall and sustained severe injuries.

He was taken to the hospital after the vehicle was removed from the damaged ramp. However, he was pronounced dead on arrival in the hospital.

Both parties agreed to settle and no case was filed against the driver who was a dentist.
