The PhilHealth board also approved the inclusion of mammography and ultrasound screening services in the Konsulta package.

These vital screenings aim to facilitate early detection of breast cancer and various abdominal conditions.

Meanwhile, PhilHealth Konsulta, a flagship primary care benefit package, offers capitation payments covering free annual check-ups, selected diagnostics, and medicines, thereby ensuring comprehensive healthcare coverage for Filipinos.

DOH said the private Konsulta package providers (KPPs) will now be permitted to collect a co-payment of up to P900, while patients attending public KPPs will not face any additional charges.

The implementation of the increased payments will be “by June 2024 or earlier,” depending on the completion of operational details, such as IT system enhancements.
