He designated Benjamin Albarece as assistant secretary at the Department of Agriculture (DA), Eliseo D.C. Cruz as assistant secretary at the Department of Justice (DOJ),  and Mario Fetalino Jr. as assistant secretary at the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).

Other appointees were: Ma. Carissa Coscolluela as acting member of the Board of Trustees of the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Manjit Tobias Reandi as member of the Board of Directors of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority, Rosalio Aragon Jr. as member representing the Workers Sector of the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board under the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and Josefina Annabel Bañaga and Wilma Galvante as members of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).

The President also named new directors in the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), National Commission on Indigenous People, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

He also designated Allen Dalangin, Inocencio Rosario Jr., and Edgar Ybañez as rear admirals of the Philippine Coast Guard  (PCG).
