Local retail electricity supplier (LRES) MPower announced that it will continue supplying power to Pioneer Highlands South Condominium Corp. (PHSCC) to extend its 10-year collaboration.
In a statement on Thursday, Mar. 14, Manila Electric Co.’s (Meralco) LRES siad it renewed the retail supply contract with the condominium company to provide electricity to around 445 residents and commercial occupants.
PHSCC President Evangeline Ang expressed gratitude to the Pangilinan-led power retailer for the long-lasting partnership, stating that “This does not only forge a decade’s worth of continued energy supply and professional assistance but is also a celebration of warm friendship and continued pursuit of lofty ideals to serve and be fruitful citizens.”
According to MPower, Pioneer Highlands is one of their first customers since the implementation of Retail Competition and Open Access (RCOA) in 2013.
The PHSCC owns a mixed-use condominium including Tower 1, the residential tower, and the Globe Telecom Plaza.
Redel Domingo, Meralco’s first vice president and head of MPower also shared that they will commit to helping PHSCC in their power needs.
“We assure PHSCC and our partners that MPower will continue to deliver stable, reliable and cost-competitive supply that we believe is very crucial in ensuring continued operations of the business and in keeping the lights on,” he said.
The electricity supplier has a 25 percent share of the competitive retail electricity market within Meralco.
They are currently boosting their renewable energy (RE) capacity in their supply portfolio, as they previously announced their collaboration with the Alliance Global Group (AGI) in pursuance of clean energy.
