DAVAO CITY – A former soldier has been installed as the new National Intelligence and Coordinating Agency (NICA) director in the Davao region.

Enrique Magalona replaced Evarly Tajanlangit who retired on Monday, March 11.
Tajanlangit was a public servant for 35 years while Magalona served in the Philippine Army before his appointment to the NICA.
Presidential Assistant for Eastern Mindanao Leo Tereso Magno welcomed Magalona’s appointment.
Magno congratulated Tajanlangit on his retirement and successful career in NICA and also thanked him for his significant contributions to the agency.
Magalona vowed to do his best as NICA-Davao director.
Magno, Cabinet Officer for Regional Development and Security (CORDS) in Southern Mindanao, pledged to work hand-in-hand with Magalona, especially in maintaining an insurgency-free, safe, and stable Davao region.
