The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) launched the “Bayanihan sa Barangay” in Parañaque on Thursday, March 14.
Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez and his brother, Representative Edwin Olivarez, joined MMDA Action Officer of Parañaque, Engr. Edgardo Palmiano and MMDA Acting Chairman Romando Artes in the launch of “Bayanihan sa Barangay” at Silverio Elementary School.
Olivarez said the program aims to extend the MMDA services in every barangays.
The team cleaned the Silverio Talipapa, conducted misting at the Silverio Elementary School, and repaired the drainage at Silverio compound.
The mayor said aside from the clearing and cleaning operations, orientation on solid waste management, anti-smoking/vaping, anti-littering and disaster preparedness was also conducted, which was attended by teachers and students of the school, vendors and residents in the area.
