The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) announced the winners of the 38th Japan Gold Disc Award. 

First established in 1987, the Japan Gold Disc Award recognized Japanese and foreign artists based on net sales of CDs, music videos, singles, downloads and streaming.

Japanese boy band Snow Man and The Beatles won the Artist of the Year award for Japanese and Western music categories, respectively, the highest award. 

K-pop boy band Seventeen won several awards including the Best Asian Artist award. 

K-pop girl group Le Sserafim won the New Artist of the Year in the Asia category while NewJeans, Riize and Le Sserafim were selected as the Best 3 New Artists. 

Seventeen swept the album awards. Their “FML” won Album of the Year under the Asia category while “FML,” “Seventeenth Heaven” and “Always Yours” were chosen as the Best 3 Albums (Asia). 

K-pop boy band Stray Kids’ “Social Path (feat. LiSA ) / Super Bowl -Japanese ver.-” won Best 5 Singles. 

Seventeen’s “Seventeen World Tour [Be The Sun] Japan” won Music Video of the Year (Asia). 

BTS member Jungkook’s “Seven (feat. Latto” bagged the Song of the Year by Download (Asia). 

K-pop girl group NewJeans’ “OMG” won the Song of the Year by Streaming (Asia).
