CEBU CITY – The Cebu City Police Office seized suspected shabu valued at P17 million in separate anti-illegal drug operations here on Tuesday, March 12.
In Barangay Camputhaw, two persons were arrested when operatives of the Intelligence Unit of CCPO caught them with 2,000 grams of suspected shabu past 9 p.m. on Tuesday.
Police said that the packs of illegal drugs that were seized from Ryan Sususco Balansag, 32, and Marlon Jabonero Lopez, 42, were worth P13.6 million.
Police said the two suspects, both residents of Kamputhaw, were hired to keep stocks of illegal drugs intended for their customers in Metro Cebu.
The two suspects had contacts from drug personalities who are currently in prison.
In Barangay Mambaling, a 22-year-old man was arrested with 508 grams of suspected shabu worth P3.4 million.
Police said the suspect, Joel Laogico Ocarol Jr., a resident of Barangay Pasil, Cebu City, was listed as a high-value individual.
According to Police Major Jonathan Beethoven Taneo, chief of the Mambaling police, Ocarol admitted that he was hired to deliver illegal drugs.
The suspect was paid P10,000 for every delivery, police said.
