BERLIN, Germany — President Marcos is looking forward to returning to the Philippines as he reported that his mother, former first lady Imelda Marcos, is on her way to recovery and might be discharged from the hospital by Thursday.

Marcos said this days after Malacañang belied reports that the Marcos matriarch had already passed away after she was admitted to an undisclosed hospital due to slight pneumonia and fever.
In an interview here in Berlin on Wednesday afternoon (March 13), the President reiterated that his 94-year-old mother was already feeling better.
"She’s scheduled to come out, I think, on Thursday. Although she was feeling better already, yung mga doktor nag decide maiwan muna siya sa ospital habang binibigyan pa siya ng antibiotics. Hanggang matapos yung course of antibiotics (the doctors decided to keep her in the hospital to finish her course of antibiotics)," he said.
"She is in good spirits. Gusto nang umuwi, nirereklamo yung pagkain sa ospital, marami nang gustong puntahan (She wants to go home, she's complaining about the hospital food, and she wants to go to places)," he added.
According to Marcos, he is excited to see his mother back in the Philippines.
"I look forward to seeing her when we get back— back on her feet and out of the hospital," he said.
