Inopacan police chief Police Major Ian Po identified the suspect as Crisencio Timon Jr.
Initial investigation revealed that the suspect mauled his 15-year-old stepson for unknown reason on Monday.
His live-in partner arrived last week from Manila to break up with him.
They were set to be summoned to the barangay for a settlement on Monday but the suspect learned about the summon and became intoxicated on Sunday night, March 10.
Timon took his daughter for a nap on Monday afternoon and stabbed her with a bladed weapon called “tuksi” in the neck that killed her on the spot. He then stabbed himself to death using the same weapon.
Their bodies were discovered by a neighbor delivering fish for the suspect.
Police arrived but the victims were already taken to the Immaculate Conception Hospital in Baybay City, Leyte where they were declared dead due to multiple stab wounds.
