The Las Piñas City Health Office (CHO) conducted a family caravan last Friday, March 8 in celebration of Women's Month at the Verdant covered court in Barangay Pamplona Tres.
Vice-Mayor April Aguilar joined the caravan which was attended by 300 women of reproductive age.
Aguilar said the caravan aimed to promote responsible parenthood and reproductive health by offering a range of free services, including lectures on responsible parenthood and family planning.
She said the CHO conducted free progestin-only implants and injections that allow patients access to long-term contraception and distributed contraceptive pills and condoms.
The vice-mayor also said the participants were able to avail of the free oral health check-ups and massage therapy as part of the city's holistic approach to women's health.
Aguilar said the initiative was part of a broader effort to enhance awareness and accessibility of reproductive health services within the community.
She also underscored the local government's support for women's health initiatives with the caravan a significant step towards women empowerment in Las Piñas through improved access to family planning resources and education.
