TACLOBAN CITY – A three-year-old girl was injured in a fire in Ormoc City, Leyte on Monday, March 11.
The fire broke at past 9 a.m. after her 21-year-old mother left their house in Purok Avocado, Barangay San Vicente to borrow money to buy food.

The fire started after the girl played with matchsticks in their living room.
The fire spread quickly as the house was made of light materials. The fire was put out after over an hour at 10:35 a.m.
The victim was taken to the Ormoc District Hospital and damage to property was estimated at around P5,000.
