Pasig City gov't reminds public to stay vigilant vs cash donations scheme
The local government of Pasig reminded the public on Tuesday, March 12, to stay vigilant against the scheme that uses the city's public officials’ names to request for cash donations.

According to the city government’s statement, no public official of the city would message residents through email or in any other way for donations.
“No city official will reach out to solicit donations of any kind to fund any program, project, or activity," it said.
The local government said that as of March 7, it had already monitored all messages related to the scheme.
It added that all contact information, bank accounts, and other information have been reported to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Philippine National Police (PNP).
It encouraged the public to report any related incidents to [email protected] or send a message to the only and official Facebook page of the city, Pasig City Public Information Office.
