CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Police seized suspected shabu and marijuana valued at P6.7 million and arrested two drug pushers in anti-illegal drug operations in the Cordillera region from March 4 to 10.

The Police Regional Office-Cordillera said the Apayao Police Provincial Office (PPO) arrested a 43-year-old female listed as a street-level individual in Barangay Poblacion, Kabugao, Apayao, and the Baguio City Police Office nabbed a 34-year-old male considered as a high-value individual in Barangay Happy Homes, Baguio City.
The suspects yielded a total of 0.90 grams of shabu with a standard drug price of P6,120.
Suspects and pieces of evidence are in the custody of arresting units and face drug-related cases.
Meanwhile, 33,800 fully grown marijuana plants and 300 seedlings valued at P6.7 million were discovered and uprooted in eradication operations in seven plantation sites in the provinces of Benguet and Kalinga.
These were burned after documentation and follow-up operations are underway to locate other marijuana plantations and cultivators.
Police continue to visit barangays and conduct information campaigns to reinforce the campaign against drugs in the region.
