“CICL noon, Registered Criminologist na po ngayon! (CICL before, now a Registered Criminologist!),” Decampong posted on Facebook.
The Muntinlupa City government congratulated Decampong for his feat and transformation from being a CICL to achieving his dream.
Decampong was a former client of Bahay Pag-asa, a rehabilitation center for children who broke the law.
A CICL is “a child who is alleged as, accused of, or adjudged as, having committed an offense under Philippine laws,” according to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Ang Bahay Pag-asa serves as a rehabilitation center for CICL. Through the guidance of the city’s Social Services Department, the center has given hope and has transformed children under its care.
“GOD DID! ALHAMDULILLAH! ALHAMDULILLAH! ALHAMDULILLAH! WALANG HANGGANG PASASALAMAT YA ALLAH!” Decampong posted on Facebook.
He added, “The power of dua is so real, don't ever doubt it. Abekulay, Omekulay RCrim. na po ang anak nyu! Maraming salamat sa pamilya kong walang sawang sumuporta at unang naniwala na kaya ko!”
“To all the people behind my success, thank you so much! Salamat Bahay Pag Asa Muntinlupa. Salamat College of Criminal Justice. Salamat Amici Review Center,” he added.
The city government said, “Tunay na nakaka-proud ang kwento ni Abdul na sa kabila ng pagsubok sa buhay ay nagpatuloy sa pag-aaral! Isa siyang patunay na may pag-asa at pagkakataong magbago ang mga kabataang minsa’y naligaw ng landas (Abdul’s story is a source of pride that despite the challenges in life, he continued his studies! He is an example that there is hope and chance for children who once lost their way).”
The PLMun College of Criminal Justice congratulated Decampong and other graduates for passing the criminology exam.
"CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR NEWLY REGISTERED CRIMINOLOGISTS! THANK YOU FOR BRINGING PRIDE TO OUR UNIVERSITY!! The whole CCJ Department celebrates your success," it posted on Facebook.
