- The commercial and industrial (C&I) segment is a flourishing business base for the provision of solar rooftop solutions as well as for internet connectivity services.
- Meralco subsidiaries MSpectrum and Radius Telecoms have enabled not just the renewable energy source, but have also digitally wired the warehouses and buildings of Mirax and Rima real estate firms.
The solar and broadband solutions business units of Manila Electric Company (Meralco) have extended fusion of solar energy and internet connectivity services to the facilities of Mirax and Rima Corporations, real estate firms that have been advancing the development of green buildings.
According to MSpectrum, it recently turned over the 32-kilowatt peak (kWp) solar panel system that had been integrated with battery energy storage, and that is now utilized at Rima’s warehouse facility in Taguig City.
Rodolfo B. Lim, head of MSpectrum Commercial Services, vouched that their company thrives as a “renewable energy solution provider of choice in making sure that our customers benefit from efficient, reliable, and safe solar installations, the latest, and most up-to-date solar technology, and international reach,” – qualifying that such had been the quality of service it currently bestows to Mirax and Rima.
For the installation at Rima, in particular, the Meralco subsidiary firm emphasized that the carbon emissions reduction it could log will redound to 30 tonnes - and that will be equivalent to 1,350 mature trees planted.
Beyond the tailor-fit solar energy solutions being offered by MSpectrum to commercial and industrial (C&I) as well as residential clients , it similarly cemented convergence with affiliate Radius Telecoms Inc. so the latter can extend added service offer in the digital connectivity space.
Radius, which is another Meralco subsidiary, had rolled out fiber optic-anchored
internet connectivity of 100 MB bandwidth at the 10-storey commercial and residential building of Mirax Tower 1 in Makati City.
As expounded by Radius Vice President and OIC Chief Operating Officer Alfredo B. Solis, Jr., the commitment given by the company to Mirax will be for seamless internet connectivity experience that its building occupants would be able to enjoy.
“Any future technologies you want to install in your facilities will be served by the fiber connectivity and innovative solutions that Radius provides,” he said; while noting that “through this partnership, we commit our support for Mirax's endeavor to build future-proof and sustainable buildings.”
Mirax and Rima are players in the real estate industry – and their business portfolios include two warehouses as well as five commercial and residential buildings in Taguig City; and three high-rise commercial buildings in Makati City.
Mirax and Rima Director Robert Mirani conveyed “our partnership with Meralco aims to provide connectivity of both power and telecom requirements, with the effort and assistance of subsidiaries MSpectrum and Radius.”
He explained that “the connectivity enables our companies to attain completion timelines with full satisfaction to all company valued clients. “
Onward, Mirani indicated that its service tie-up with Meralco “will continue and will serve as an ideal model to all companies engaging in the development of the types of properties you’re seeing today.”
