Marcos appoints new set of government officials

President Marcos has appointed a new set of officials in several government agencies.

Marcos named on Tuesday, March 12, new officials under agencies such as Commission on the Filipino Language, National Youth Commission, Philippine Postal Corporation, Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Finance (DOF), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Transportation (DOTr), State Universities and Colleges, and Office of the President (OP).

According to the list issued by the Presidential Communications Office, Marcos appointed Cheryl Marie Natividad-Caballero as DA undersecretary and Constante Palabrica as DA assistant secretary. He also named Ernesto Enriquez, Larry Lacson, and Abbey Charles Gawaran ast directors at the DA.

The President also tapped Joven Balbosa as Finance undersecretary, Gerald Alan Quebral as Finance assistant secretary, and Cherry Mae Gonzales and Donalyn Minimo as directors of the same agency.

He also named Christopher Morales as undersecretary and Ivy Grace Rivera as Director IV at the Agrarian department; Cris Tenorio as Director IV at the OP-Assets Management Office; Manuel Plaza III as member of the Games and Amusement Board; Julius Leonen and Adrian Bautista as directors at the Presidential Communications Office.

Rizalino Jose Torralba was appointed as Collector at the Bureau of Customs, Sharon Almanza as Treasurer at the Bureau of Treasury, Ernesto Severino as member of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Postal Corporation, Lynna Joy Cardinal as a provincial trade and industry officer at the DTI, Reymundo De Guzman Jr. as executive director at the Office of Transportation Cooperatives under DOTr, Gregorio Pastorfide as member of the Board of Regents at the University of the Philippines, and Felix Castro Jr. as assistant secretary at the OP.

Marcos appointed two part-time commissioners at the Commission on the Filipino Language namely: Christian Tan Aguado and Reggie Cruz. He also named Bianca Patrice Go as commissioner of the National Youth Commission.

Other appointees were from the DICT namely Sittie Rahma Alawi, Jimmicio Daoaten, Reynaldo Sy, and Jhino Ilano as directors; and from the DTI namely Mario Tani, Anthony Rivera, Rudolph Jay Velasco, Althea Karen Antonio, Alma Argayoso, and May Niña Celynne Layug as foreign trade service officers and special trade representative.
