Drug suspect arrested in Las Piñas City

A drug suspect in possession of P3,434,000 worth of shabu was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by members of the Las Piñas City police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) on Tuesday, March 12.

The Southern Police District (SPD) said the suspect, identified as alias Kuya, 44, was arrested around 12:40 a.m. in Barangay Almanza Uno, Las Piñas City.

The police said the suspect, tagged as A high value individual, was arrested in possession of 505 grams of shabu.

The police also said the SDEU operatives also recovered one black leather coin purse, A Samsung cellular phone, the P300 buy-bust money, and one red eco bag.

The suspect is now detained at the police custodial facility after his arrest and will be facing charges for violation of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

The recovered shabu was brought to the SPD Forensic Unit for analysis.
