New Agusan del Sur police chief assumes post

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur – Police Col. Yahya B. Yusup has been named the new Agusan del Sur Provincial Police Office (PPO) chief.

Yusup formally assumed the position in a change of command ceremony at the provincial police headquarters here on Monday, March 11.

Police Regional Office-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft, represented by Deputy Regional Director for Administration Police Brig. Gen. Eleazar P. Matta, led the ceremony between Police Col. Jovito C. Canlapan and Yusup.

Canlapan, who headed the Agusan del Sur PPO for two years and two months, replaces Yusup at the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD).

“I am thankful to the men and women of ADSPPO to their full support during my term as their director,” Canlapan said.

Kraft cited the good leadership these two police officer showed in their positions to the PRO-13.

“Let us always place God at the center of our lives and our career. By doing so, we will realize that by putting him first, things will fall into the right place at the right time,” Kraft said.
