Marcos to Sandro on political decisions: Do not compromise your principles
There are principles that you will not compromise.
President Marcos told his son, Sandro Marcos, this as the former gave him several pieces of advice, particularly on making political decisions.

"Just always remember, especially now that you're congressman, maraming mga stimuli kung ano ano pinagsasabi sa'yo (there are many stimuli and they have a lot to say), and it's hard to make a decision," Marcos said in his vlog intended to give advices to Sandro on his 30th birthday.
"Just decide for yourself that there are principles that you will not compromise basta you stick to that, you can compromise about anything else pero meron talagang: God, country, family, honor, duty...do not compromise those principles for anything," Marcos added.
'Don't trust your instinct'
On responding to crisis, the President told his son to not rely on his instinct, and use his intellect instead.
He also told him to not panic and give himself time to think the situation through before making an action.
"Don't panic. Think things through before you act. You have to do it very quickly but you have to give yourself time to think. How many times have I told you, when something happens, there's an emergency, or crisis, or some such thing, do not trust your first instinct, use your intellect," the long-time politician said.
Meanwhile, the older Marcos also offered his son a piece of advice on maintaining a relationship.
"Just be a good guy. You're not settling down yet maybe or you are settling down, just always show respect and always be dignified in all that you do," he said.
First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos also added: Don't burn bridges.
