Light rains to persist in parts of the Philippines due to 'amihan', easterlies
PAGASA says amihan may end by 3rd week of March
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Monday, March 11 said light rains may continue in some parts of the country due to the prevalence of the northeast monsoon in the Northern and Central Luzon, and the easterlies in the rest of the archipelago.

PAGASA said Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, and Bicol Region will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon, locally known as “amihan.”
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light amihan rains.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy weather with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms
due to the easterlies, or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, and localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned the public of flash floods or landslides that may occur in these areas during severe thunderstorms.
Moreover, in the PAGASA’s 4 a.m. live broadcast, weather specialist Obet Badrina said the northeast monsoon may continue to persist this week but it may end in the third week of March.
