The Las Piñas City government will conduct free HVP (human papilloma virus) vaccination for girls aged nine to 14 years old on March 13-15.
Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the HPV vaccination that will be held at Robinsons Las Piñas from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. is one of the activities prepared by the city government in celebration of the city’s 27th cityhood anniversary.
Aguilar said the City Health Office (CHO) coordinated with the Department of Health and the Department of Education for the conduct of HPV vaccination for young girls.
She said girls who will get the vaccine shot for the first time should go to the venue on March 14 and 15.
Scheduled for vaccination on March 13 are the girls who will receive their second dose.
The mayor said young girls can receive their second dose six months after getting the first shot of the vaccine.
Aguilar said those who wish to receive HPV vaccine must first visit their nearest barangay health center for pre-registration and screening.
She said they must present a school ID or any ID with birthdate, a birth certificate for the out-of-school youth, barangay certificate if no school ID or birth certificate, quadrivalent HPV vaccine card with date of first vaccination, HPV screening form a health center signed by the screener, and signed parent’s consent.
The mayor said that no parent’s consent form means no vaccination.
