LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – The body of suspected rape victim was found floating on a river in Sitio San Gabriel, Barangay Balangobong, this capital town, on Sunday night, March 10.

Police Col. Jeff Fanged, Pangasinan police chief, identified the victim as Alyssa Manzano Bolasoc, 21, a third-year Pangasinan State University (PSU) student and resident of Barangay Balangobong.
A fisherman, Rowel Suicon Rabino, 27, discovered the victim’s body at around 8 p.m. while checking his fish net.
Sabino informed the police who conducted a follow-up investigation and arrested a suspect, Jessie Aquino Soriano, 32, a solar panel installer.
Soriano is under the custody of the police and faces appropriate case, said officers-on-case Police Corporals Eric Quimson and Christopher Rey E. Mariano.
