Truck rams Bondoc Peninsula welcome arch

PAGBILAO, Quezon – A concrete welcome arch here which served as a landmark of the Bondoc Peninsula district in Quezon and constructed by Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) was destroyed by a trailer truck before dawn on Sunday, March 10.

Police Major Charlotte Zahid, town police chief, said the trailer truck with license plates NCE-1403 on its way to Manila from Cataunuan, Quezon miscalculated the vertical clearance and hit the structure.

Nobody was reported injured during the incident.

Truck driver faces a complaint of reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property.

Cost and timeline of repair are yet to be determined.
