MPD chief conducts random inspection of police stations, esplanade, Baseco beach

Manila Police District (MPD) Brigadier General Chief Arnold Thomas Ibay inspected police stations, the esplanade beside Pasig River, and Baseco beach.
In a posted video on Saturday, March 9, Chief Ibay reminded elements of MPD to be true to their sworn duty.
The police director conducted a random inspection in some police stations to check the orderliness of their vicinities.
"Mahalin natin serbisyo natin ha kasi alam niyo marami akong pinapa-relieve pag mayroon silang ginawang kalokohan particularly illegal drugs. Wag kayo magpapasilaw. Sayang ang serbisyo, di lang kayo ang umaasa sa Philippine National Police kung hindi ang pamilya ninyo (Let's love our service because I relieve a lot of policemen when they do something stupid, particularly involving illegal drugs. Do not put you service into a waste, you are not the only one who relies on the Philippine National Police, your family also depends on it)," he said.
Ibay also went to the Pasig River promenade and Baseco beach to talk to the security guards deployed to ensure that revelers flocking the walkway every day are secured.
Ibay also reminded the public that bathing and water activities are prohibited in both areas because they are contaminated with domestic and industrial wastes that can cause several diseases.
