After an opening day overtime loss to the NLEX Road Warriors, the Batang Pier went on to thrive as they improved to a 3-1 record in the standings.
Calma and Tolentino delivered 16 points apiece in the squad’s balanced attack, with the former coming off the bench to eventually finish with an efficient 7-of-10 shooting clip.
Paul Zamar and Cade Flores, meanwhile, posted 14 and 13 markers, respectively.
Tolentino gave NorthPort its biggest lead of the match at 39-27 off a triple which the Batang Pier squandered as both sides eventually greeted the halftime break locked at 43-all.
In the second half, the Batang Pier found themselves unable to regain control in the early goings as they trailed 51-45 before finally getting back on their feet in the closing chapter en route to the victory.
