The Kings leaned on a strong third quarter showing to eventually dominate the Fuel Masters for their back-to-back wins.

The 6-foot-7 winger Malonzo came up huge off the bench with a double-double outing of 17 points that went with 10 rebounds in his second game back since figuring in a melee just a few weeks prior.

Malonzo, nursing a black eye in Ginebra’s 113-107 opening day match against Rain or Shine, dropped a career-best 32 points off his finest showing yet just two days ago.

This time, Malonzo helped the Kings regain control in the second half where they edged out the Fuel Masters with a 32-19 third quarter for a 79-62 cushion heading into the payoff period.

Stanley Pringle, for his part, finished with 13 points while Raph Cu, Nard Pinto and Christian Standhardinger all had 12 markers each in the balanced effort.

Jason Perkins and Javee Mocon, meanwhile, paced Phoenix with combined 27 points on the losing end as the Fuel Masters dropped two games in a row to stay winless.
