SMDC launches a new condo furnishing program, setting to establish a new standard in convenience and sophistication

SMDC Good Stays, the official leasing and tenancy management arm of SM Development Corporation, is redefining the real estate landscape with its groundbreaking Good Home Program. Unveiled during an exclusive launch on March 2, 2024 at Red Residences, the first ready-for-occupancy (RFO) development of SMDC along Chino Roces in Makati City, this program sets a new standard in convenience for homeowners and investors.

During the launch, SMDC also featured an insightful interior design talk with renowned figures, including furniture designer and Metro Home and Entertaining Editor Anton Barretto, model-turned-photographer Arthur Tselishchev, and interior designer and painter Tessa Alindongan, providing tips on elevating units into aesthetic living spaces.

By offering exclusive unit furnishing packages in collaboration with SM affiliates like SM Home, Our Home, SM Appliance, and ACE Hardware, the program ensures a hassle-free move-in experience for end-users and leasing readiness for investors.

The Good Home Program adds a touch of luxury to modern living, offering inclusions ranging from essential furnishings to high-quality appliances, beds with mattresses, sofas, dining sets, refrigerators, air conditioners, and more. The curated packages, tailored to different unit sizes, ensure optimal space utilization and aesthetic appeal.

For the program mechanics, SMDC offers clients the flexibility to choose furnished units with various payment terms, and the turnover and acceptance occur at a 5 percent payment milestone. This approach allows clients to smoothly integrate the Good Home Program into their purchasing process.

“We've observed that approximately 60 percent of our buyers are investors, many of whom work abroad. When their units are turned over, they may not be able to attend to them physically. That's where SMDC Good Stays steps in to manage the units,” Marcial explained. “For property owners who aren't physically present, we offer the option to rent out their property. We take care of furnishing the unit and even handle the process of finding tenants on their behalf.”
