3 gunrunners arrested in Isabela

CAMP Lt. Rosauro Toda Jr., City of Ilagan, Isabela â€“ Police arrested three suspected gunrunners in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Santo Domingo, Alicia, Isabela on Saturday, March 9.

Police identified the suspects as Jo, 25; John, 38, and Lito, 52.

Suspects were nabbed after they sold an unlicensed firearm to a police poseur-buyer.

Seized from them were a caliber .45 pistol, caliber .45 magazine, six bullets, boodle money, brown belt bag, and two motorcycles.

Suspects, who had been under surveillance following reports on their illegal activities, are under police custody and face charges for violating Republic Act No. 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

Pieces of evidence were brought to the Santiago City Forensic Unit office for documentation and appropriate disposition.
