The alleged drug den maintainer and seven patrons, including an architect and a Grade 12 student, were arrested.

Seized from the suspects were 30 grams of suspected shabu valued at P204,000 and drug paraphernalia.

Agent Alvin Clemente, team leader of PDEA-Regional Special Enforcement Team (RSET) Bravo, identified the drug den maintainer as Jose Weber, a former seaman.

Clemente said the community reported Weber’s illegal activities, prompting them to validate the report and monitor him for two weeks.

He said the suspect had been arrested for a drug offense but was released after he was acquitted.

Clemente said that some of the suspects were caught holding a pot session during the operation.

He said that all suspects tested positive for drug use and face appropriate cases.

Meanwhile, a 24-year-old college student was arrested and 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000 were seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 2 Poblacion, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental on Wednesday.

Police withheld the name of the suspect tagged as a high-value individual.
