Outgoing Japanese envoy thanks friends, colleagues in PH; leaves post on March 5
Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines Koshikawa Kazuhiko on Friday, March 1, made a farewell message to the friends and colleagues he had worked with in the country as he is set to conclude his mission in Manila.
In a post on X, Koshikawa said he is overwhelmed with gratitude for the warmth and friendship extended to him during his stay in the Philippines.
"Your hospitality has truly made this a memorable chapter of my life," he added.
Koshikawa, who is ending his term on March 5, also penned a letter of appreciation to the embassy's esteemed media partners.
He said that in the past years, the Philippines and Japan have forged stronger bonds that have eventually marked a golden age in the two countries' bilateral relations.
He said such an achievement would not have been possible without the commitment and dedication of the media in highlighting the significant milestones that have defined our journey.
"Your insightful coverage and tireless efforts have also played a pivotal role in fostering mutual understanding between our peoples," he said.
Koshikawa said he is hopeful to visit the Philippines again as a tourist soon.
