Lady drug pusher caught with P5.5-M shabu

ILOILO CITY – Police seized suspected shabu worth P5.5 million from a drug pusher in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Daanbanwa, Estancia, Iloilo on Wednesday, February 28.

The suspect, 44-year-old Jorene Boledo, was nabbed after selling shabu to an undercover buyer.

Boledo yielded a total of 810 grams of shabu.

The operation was conducted by the Iloilo Police Provincial Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and supported by the Estancia Municipal Police Station.

Police Major Rolando Araño, IPPO spokesperson, said Boledo is among the major drug personalities they have been monitoring since last year.

The suspect laid low for a while but resurfaced last January.

Araño said that Boledo not only supplies shabu in Estancia but also in other towns in northern Iloilo.

Boledo allegedly obtains his supply of shabu from Roxas City, Capiz.

The hierarchy of the Police Regional Office-6 lauded Boledo’s arrest.

“The successful operation conducted by the operating units underscores the unwavering commitment of law enforcement agencies in our region to combat illegal drug activities. We commend the dedication and bravery of our police officers involved in this operation,” said Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky, PRO-6 director.
